About Heartland Rescue

Heartland Rescue is the nonprofit rescue and adoption program of S&B Kountry Kennel, dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at finding safe, loving, and permanent homes.

Over the years, S&B Kountry Kennel has encountered situations where pet owners, often during a boarding stay, share that they are no longer able to care for their dogs due to financial hardship, life changes, or other unforeseen circumstances. Rather than allowing these dogs to face an uncertain future, Heartland Rescue steps in to provide them with compassionate care and a path toward a new beginning.

Each dog receives the attention, care, and support needed while waiting to be matched with a responsible, loving family. Many of the adopters who welcome these dogs into their homes are members of the broader community who discover them through adoption platforms such as Petfinder and other rescue listing websites. These listings direct prospective adopters to the Heartland Rescue website, where they can learn more about each available dog and begin the adoption process.
